Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public access to many court and public records, but Linn County records are not held in one office. The Circuit Clerk handles local Circuit Court case files, probate filings, traffic cases, domestic cases, criminal cases, and certified court copies. The Recorder of Deeds issues marriage licenses and handles recorded land records. The Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement reports, bond information, warrant updates, and jail-related questions. Pulling those distinctions into one Linn County reference reduces wrong-office searches.
What You Will Find Here
- Records pages by type: court records, arrest records and charges, inmate records, warrant records, marriage and divorce, probate, and more
- Office contacts: direct routing for the Circuit Clerk, Circuit Court, Recorder of Deeds, Sheriff's Office, and state record offices
- Search walkthroughs: instructions for Missouri Case.net, public court records, traffic payment paths, and state databases
- Public records help: Missouri Sunshine Law context, court access limits, copy-request basics, and record custodian distinctions
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Missouri court, Linn County office, sheriff's office, municipal court, or state agency. There are real limits to what this site can do:
- It cannot file paperwork or send records requests on anyone's behalf
- It cannot issue certified copies of court documents, marriage records, divorce decrees, or vital records
- It cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific Missouri case applies to a person
- It cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, schedule, or access rule is current at the moment of use
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. This site can identify the likely office, but the document must come from that office.
Search Partners
Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When a visitor uses one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, this site may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep the public reference pages available. We do not control what those tools charge or what appears in their results.
